The Green Man
The Green Man is a traditional Warwickshire village pub that sells the finest cask ales. The Green Man features in The Good Beer Guides 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Parts of The Green Man's building date back to the early 1700's. The building still has many original beams. The ceilings are very low in the bar areas and those of above average height will need to take care. They have open coal fires in pub that offer a warm welcome on cold and frosty evenings.
Behind the pub there is a lovely, quiet and flat campsite that is registered with The Camping and Caravanning Club.
The campsite has easy access from the car park entrance to the right of The Green Man.
Only 100 metres away from the campsite is the Co-op shop and post office which should provide for all of your daily needs, subject to availability.
There is a regular bus service to Leamington Spa, Rugby and Southam from the front of the pub.
The Green Man welcomes tents and campers to their site but their facilities are limited. The toilets are locked between midnight and 7:00 a.m. and there are no showers.
Less than 2 miles away is Southam Leisure Centre which has saunas, steam rooms and showers.
The Green Man does not have hook-ups available so if you need electricity you will need to stay somewhere else.
There is a local fish and chip van that stops outside the front of The Green Man every Friday night, usually 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The van only stays as long as the queue that gathers by the van.
Guests are welcome to eat their fish and chips in the pub or if the weather allows, sitting on the pub's benches in the garden.
Cost per unit per night is £9
