The Waterloo Hotel Campsite is located directly behind their hotel. The camping field is below the caravan site but is still within easy reach of the facilities. The camping field has 2 electric hook-ups. During quiet periods tents can use the hook-ups in the caravan field. Ask about this when you are booking.

There are 5 hard standing caravan pitches, all which feature 16 amp hook-ups. The new shower and toilet block is located close to the pitches.

Waterloo Hotel Campsite has stunning views. They allow dogs but they must be kept on a lead at all times and you must clean up after them.

The Waterloo Hotel Campsite is a great base for exploring the Peak District. There is so much to do in the area and if you want to make the most of the National Park the Waterloo Inn is conveniently located between Buxton and Bakewell. There are great walks, cycling and climbing not far from the site and they are surrounded in stunning scenery. They are ideally situated for discovering the wonderful things the whole area offers throughout the year.

Nearby you can participate in outdoor activities, visit historic buildings and take part in local summer carnivals. You can also just go general site seeing. Whether for a lovely weekend break or a longer stay the Waterloo Inn has everything you need.

? Tideswell is a large rambling village surrounded by typical White Peak countryside, situated 6 miles east of Buxton, at an altitude of over 1000ft. This ancient village is packed with fascinating houses and cottages, all of individual design which ooze character and charm. Only 10 minutes drive from The Waterloo.

? Buxton - this historic town is at the centre of some of England's finest landscape. With a population of over 20,000 and yearly visitor numbers which exceed 40,000, it's a popular location for people to live, work and play and is only about 15 minutes drive fom the Waterloo.

? Bakewell, known as the Gateway to the Peak, is the Capital of the Peak District National Park and home to the famous Bakewell Pudding. It resides roughly 15 minutes drive from The Waterloo and offers plenty for visitors to do throughout the year with a comprehensive range of amenities, activities, shops and leisure facilities to be found.

? Chatsworth House, the seat of the Cavendish Family, lies at the heart of the Peak District National Park and is the superb home of the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire. Known as the Palace of the Peak, Chatsworth House, located about 20 minutes drive from The Waterloo, is generally regarded as the finest palatial home in England.

? Haddon Hall dates mostly from the 14th and 15th centuries. It was owned by the Vernon family for hundreds of years but remained closed and empty for a period of 200 years until brought back to life by the 9th Duke of Rutland in the 1920`s. It contains a magnificent Banqueting Hall and an oak panelled Long Gallery, 110ft in length and 17ft wide.
