Bicton House Camping has 44 pitches in total, half of which have electric hook-ups. Guests have a choice of 2 very lovely fields to camp in: Barn Field or Sam's Field.

The Barn Field has 16 pitches with hook-ups for tourers, vans and tents. It also has 2 pitches with hook-ups for tents only. The Barn Field is surrounded by trees with offer nature's own protection from the elements. The field has a chemical waste disposal area, mains water supply and a washing-up area and toilet and shower block that should be completed early in the summer of 2013. This field also has a barbeque area but guests are welcome to use their own barbeque on their pitch.

Opposite Barn Field is Sam's Field which affords lovely views across to the Long Mynd which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Wrekin. Sam's Field has 4 pitches with electric hook-ups and the rest of the field is available for campers that do not need electricity. The field also has a mains water supply.

The site welcomes dogs to their campsite but they limit it to 2 dogs per pitch. You must keep your dogs on a lead at all times because the site is a working farm with animals. The park itself and the surrounding area have some great walks that you can take your dog on.

Bicton House Camping has a friendly farm atmosphere and children are very welcome to partake in feeding the ducks, chickens and ponies.

Nearby is Shrewsbury which is set in a glorious location within a loop of the meandering River Severn in the heart of Shropshire. The local area's landscape inspires onlookers with its beauty and mystery. Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury and he would still be able to recognise its black and white timber buildings of his home town as they have not changed much over the years. Shrewsbury is renowned to be one of England's most spectacular heritage towns with over 600 listed buildings.

The town's picturesque cobbled and squares are well-preserved and there are an exceptional number of interesting, independent shops that will astound visitors. Shrewsbury has great cafés, restaurants and pubs around every corner. There are hundreds of festivals and events that take place in the town each year. During Shrewsbury's Summer Season there are events catering for every age and interest.

Visitors can walk down to Shrewsbury's Quarry Park and watch the world go by while enjoying a drink by the river. You can also relax on a river boat cruise from Victoria Quay.
