Located within the newly designated South Downs National Park, Housedean Farm Campsite is a great place to go camping. The area in which the park is located has a diverse and lovely landscape that features rolling pastures, open spaces, ancient woodland and river valleys.

Housedean Farm Campsite is situated on a working farm between Lewes and Brighton. The campsite is located directly on the South Downs Way National Trail and because of this offers easy access to a network of other footpaths.

Just a short journey away from the site is the historic market town of Lewes and the city of Brighton. They can both be accessed by bus from Housedean Farm.

The site's camping field is located just behind their farm. The field afford wonderful views to the Downs. They are near to the A27 dual carriageway and though you cannot see it from the camping field you can expect to hear some background traffic noise.

They have 15 pitches in total available though each pitch has ample space for several tents if necessary. The pitches each have a firepit for campfires. Guests that have a large group can have the largest pitches reserved for them. Otherwise guests can choose from the available pitches upon arrival.

They recently completed improvements to their facilities and they now provide 2 flushing loos, 1 shower and a washing-up area.

The site is nestled directly on the South Downs Way. They make a perfect base for exploring the National Park with its network of over 2,000 miles of well-managed, well-signed and easily accessible trails.

You can explore the sights and sounds of the area by walking on foot, riding on a bicycle or even by going on horseback.

Guests can experience the beauty and peacefulness of the high chalk downland and the small fields and deep wooded valleys of the Weald. The local area has some ancient history to be explored such as the Iron Age hill-forts, historic castles, charming old villages and parish churches.

There is so much to enjoy in the South Downs, your family can experience a visit to remember when they stay at Housedean Farm.
