Located on the convenient spot of Holy Island in North Wales, a stay at Blackthorn Farm affords a stunning view of the Irish Sea, the Snowdonia Mountains and coastal views of the Isle of Anglesey.

There is a local beach and peaceful coastal trails within walking distance of Blackthorn Farm. Wildlife can usually be seen along these trails. A short drive leads to the famous South Stack lighthouse or the town of Holyhead. Holyhead offers rail facilities to rest of North Wales as well as high speed ferry services to Ireland.

Anglesey features 120 miles of coastline, clear and sandy beaches, rocky headlands, plenty of scenery, sports facilities and local cuisine to enjoy. It is often referred to as "Mon Mam Cymruâ", the Mother of Wales. In Anglesey you can visit Castles built by Edward I, standing stones and Druid sites that date before Christ, and more.

There are plenty of places to indulge in sporting activities such as golf, motor sports, mountain biking, cycling, rambling, walking, sailing, surfing, fishing, diving, and windsurfing. You can also just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery in peace and quiet as well.

If you choose Blackthorn Farm as the base for your holiday all of these sites are within reach, as well as being within a 90 minutes ferry trip to Ireland, a 20 minute drive to Gwynedd and the rest of North Wales. You could also choose to explore North Wales by train with Holyhead station just 2 miles away from the site.
