Town Farm Camping & Caravanning
Featuring stunning views over the Vale of Aylesbury and Ivinghoe Beacon, Town Farm Camping & Caravanning is a new site. Ivinghoe is located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and set between Tring in Hertfordshire and Dunstable in Bedfordshire.
Town Farm Camping & Caravanning does not have set pitches. It is comprised of one large open field where you can choose a perfect spot to take in the views of the surrounding Chilterns countryside. There is a brand new toilet and shower block that has been added to the facilities offered.
Some of the local attractions include the Tring Reservoirs and the surrounding branches of the Grand Union Canal. The area is great for walkers, bird watchers and anglers.
The Natural History Museum at Tring has a fascinating, world renowned range of animals collected by Lionel Walter Rothschild. The museum is home to the research department and collections of the Natural History Museum's Bird Group.
Some other nearby attractions include Whipsnade Zoo, Woburn Abbey and Safari Park and Waddesden Manor.
The local area is great walking country and there are a myriad of path and byways around and near Town Farm such as The Ridgeway, a National Trail and one of Britain's oldest roads, The Icknield Way Path, the National Trust estate at Ashridge and Ivinghoe Beacon.
In June Town Farm's "Pick Your Own" starts where guests can take a picnic and stock up on fruit and vegetables and free range eggs are available from the farm.
Town Farm Camping & Caravanning is a great base for your walking and cycling holiday in the Chilterns. They are conveniently close to the newly created Chilterns Cycleway.
