Abbey Home Farm Camping
Abbey Home Farm Camping is set in the beautiful countryside of Cirencester. It is a working organic farm with an organic farm shop, café and vegetable garden.
The site accommodates Camper vans and tents only. There is also a Cottage and Shepherds Hut and Yurts for hire.
Here campers are expected to embrace all aspects of natural living, showers aren't heated.
There's no electric and no cars are allowed on the tent only camping field Camper vans have their own area.
Water is from the drinking tap behind the toilet block, or you can drink it from the bore hole.
Camp fires are prohibited, but you can use a brazier for heat and can be rented on site. Firewood can be purchased or bring your own. Timber from the wood is to be left for the insects.
Abbey Home Farm Camping, Cirencester is family orientated and as well as the campsite, Abbey Home Farm Camping has a shepherd's hut, a yurt, a hut, a holiday cottage and a private glade which you can rent for a minimum of 5 people for 2 nights.
The glade is in Deer's Choice Wood and here you can collect firewood and enjoy an open campfire.
Bookings aren't accepted and arrivals must be made in shop hours, 9 to 5 and 11 to 4 on Sundays.
The shop is 4 minutes away from the site and sells fresh organic foods, environmentally friendly cleaning products, ice creams, books and magazines.
The café is open during the day and serves delicious home- made meals and snacks using organic produce from the farm.
If you want to explore the surrounding area, Cirencester is an attractive historic town, which used to be one of the most important places of Roman Britain. It has many interesting places to visit and numerous shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes.
