Tom's Field Campsite

Well known for its unique location, Tom's Field Campsite is a long-established and popular site. They are open from the middle of March until the end of October. The site accepts only tents and motor vans. They do not accept towed caravans.

Tom's Field Campsite is situated amongst the Purbeck Hills in the village of Langton Matravers. They are set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. They are about 2½ miles from the Swanage seafront. The park's 4½ acres of fields are surrounded by old stone walling. Their pitches offer a variety of aspects. Some of them feature lovely views of Swanage Bay.

The park is near many excellent walks. You can walk to Swanage by the Coastal Path and catch a bus back to the village. Nearby are Seacombe Bay, Winspit and Worth Matravers.

They are within easy reach of England's only natural World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast. The coast path goes from Studland Bay to Exmouth in Devon and is now a World Heritage Site. The area's geology represents 185 million years of earth's history.

Tom's Field Campsite's on-site facilities include a toilet block with showers, washing-up facilities, disabled toilets and a shower. They have a well-stocked and a gas exchange. The site is very keen on recycling and provides facilities for recycling on-site.

The site's pitches offer a variety of aspects with some views of Swanage Bay in the distance. Nearby is the village of Langton Matravers. The closest sandy beach can be found at Swanage.

There is a footpath adjacent to the campsite that provides access to the coastal path and Dancing Ledge. You can reach them in about a 20 minutes' walk.

Nearby Attractions include - Swanage Steam Railway, Putlake Adventure Farm, Corfe Castle, Studland Beaches, Markets at Swanage, Wareham and Dorchester.
