Near the historic town of Ludlow in the Welsh Marches, Monstay Farm is a small certified campsite.
Monstay Farm is a traditional working farm that is set within the lovely surroundings of the Mortimer Forest.
There is easy access to the forest from the campsite. In the forest there is a wide variety of wildlife and there guests can enjoy leisure activities. Monstay Farm also makes a perfect base for exploring the local area.
From Monstay Farm guests have access to miles of footpaths and bridleways without needing to go onto roads. Within 500 metres of the farm The Mortimer Trail passes and the Herefordshire Trail and Shropshire Way are also nearby.
Between the car park opposite the farm and Ludlow, The Mortimer Forest Geology Trail runs. The area of South Shropshire is one of the most interesting geological areas in England.
They manage the farm sensitively in order to encourage a rich diversity of wildlife. You can often see roe deer, fallow deer, red kites, dormice, tawny owls, palmate newts, slow worms, orchids, fritillary butterflies, several species of bat and more.
DIRECTIONS:
