Turner Hall Farm

Turner Hall Farm is located in the Duddon Valley which is situated between Coniston and Eskdale. It is truly a jewel of Cumbria, it is remote, unspoilt and perhaps the most idyllic corner of the Lake District.

The area has great places for walkers, mountain bikers, climbers, nature lovers and those that enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside. Two focal points of the valley are the tiny villages of Ulpha and Seathwaite. Ulpha features a post office and village shop. Seathwaite is situated near the end of the ancient Walna Scar road. It has Newfield Inn, which is a 16th century inn, which serves good home cooked food, real ales and has a warm welcome for guests every day of the year.

While in the Lake District Valley you can visit the Western, Southern and Central areas of Lakeland. Cockley Beck is at the head of the valley. It is where the 2 notorious passes of Wrynose and Hardknott meet, which is not a drive for the faint of heart. The drive from Ulpha over Birker Moor into Eskdale is one of the best drives in Cumbria. During a clear day you can see spectacular views of the mountains of Sca Fell and Gable.

Turner Hall Farm has a variety of footpaths from the site including some that lead to the Lakeland fells including Dowcrag, Harter Fell and Coniston Old Man.
