Tan-y-Fron Caravan & Camping Park is a 5-Star graded park in Wales. It offers all of the services you would expect from such a high quality facility. These include immaculately maintained lawns, landscaped gardens, flower borders and tubs that complement the natural stone walls and fields and surrounding hills. These aspects give this site a top quality atmosphere.

TOURING AND CAMPING

We offer pitches for touring caravans, motor-homes pitches and camping pitches for tents. Many of the grassed terraced pitches offer electric hook-up. Some of the tent pitches offer scenic views overlooking Dolgellau and the hills behind.

There is a centrally heated free shower/washing and toilet facilities which is well lit at night.

CAMPING PODS

There are two family pods (sleep 4 adults) and two standard pods (sleep 2 adults & 1 child.)

The Camping Pods are beautiful, natural, well-built, insulated, secure wooden hut that provides comfortable basic accommodation in place of a tent. It’s also 100% carbon neutral. Pods are insulated with sheep's wool to provide extra winter warmth and have a special designed foil material to help regulate summer and winter temperatures along with roofing tiles that are designed with a noise reducing material within them, cutting down the noise of heavy rain.

The pods comes with carpet, electric heater, flat screen TV./DVD, electrical socket, roller blind on the entrance door, 2 USB phone charging sockets & lights for all year round comfort.

STATIC CARAVANS

Tan-y-Fron Caravan & Camping Park features 24 owner-occupied pitches that are ideal for people who enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a natural environment. Each plot is designed as a spacious holiday retreat. They have been elevated to ensure that each one has a wonderful scenic countryside view and its own private lawn and parking. This just leaves to owner to enjoy the peace and quiet and wonderful scenery of the park.

The owners of Tan-y-Fron Caravan & Camping Park realise that after you buy your holiday home your next biggest investment is in the holiday facility that your home sits on. Today's caravan holiday homes have a quality of finish, luxury and comfort that were once only found the best hotels. Features include central heating, double glazing and super warm insulation which leaves you free to take a quiet escape to your holiday home at any time of the year. The high standards and availability of different choices in holiday homes cannot fail to impress you.

The site opens at the1st of March and closes the 7th of January. This means that you can enjoy your holiday home for 10 months and enjoy it throughout the changing seasons.

Every caravan is connected to mains services, bottled gas and TV aerial. The holiday homes are for use by owners and their immediate family. The park does not allow sub-letting. Only holiday home owners are allowed to bring a dog onto their pitch.

When you buy a caravan it comes with a remote control fob. Using this remote control fob is the only way that you can get through the park's security entry barrier. This ensures that the park is safe and that only those who are supposed to be in the park have access.

WALKS

• There are a large choice of walks near Dolgellau including the estuary, Cader Idris, the Precipice Walk and many others.

• The Mawddach trail in particular is a well surfaced track on an old railway line from Dolgellau to Barmouth on the southern side of the estuary - easy for cycles, trailers, wheelchairs and feet.

• Panorama Walk - Barmouth's most famous walk. There is a car park and toilet at the top of the Panorama road. Great views over the estuary.

DIRECTIONS:

From London: take the M40,M6 then M54 from Birmingham to Shrewsbury.

Follow signs to Welshpool -A5, A458 and A470 to the Dolgellau bypass.

From South West: use M5/M6, then as above.

Approaching Dolgellau = Petrol Station and Little Chef on the right.Take next left to Dolgellau.

200m we are on left by 30mph sign

From the North: M6 then M56 to Chester, then A494 to Dolgellau bypass. Keep on the A470 to the south end of the town (from Bala, turn left when you reach the A470). Then 300m over the river turn right for Dolgellau, after 200m we are on left by 30mph sign.
