Herding Hill Farm Touring & Camping offers the ideal location to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the stunning Northumberland Countryside as well as being ideally located to visit Hadrians Wall World Heritage Site, the beautiful Lake District, coastal regions of Cumbria and Northumberland and Kielder Forest which hosts Europes biggest man-made reservoir.

We haven't even mentioned the whole host of Castles, Stately Homes and Visitor attractions that are on our doorstep, but be assured that there is plenty to see and do within an hours drive in any direction from our home in Haltwhistle.

We decided to expand on our popular Farm shop and Tearoom by introducing our Touring Caravan and Camping Site this year and are working hard to provide the very best accommodation, including purpose built shower room and toilet facilities and washing up areas. We have a separate shower block with disabled access and a drying room for walkers gear and covered secure bike storage will be provided later in the year.

Watch the stars in the darkest skys in England, we are located in absolute peace and tranquility.

WIGWAMS

We felt that our vision for Herding Hill Farm would not be complete without the addition of some fabulous Wigwams, which we felt, having stayed in them ourselves, are the ultimate in a comfortable and luxurious camping experience.

They truly are a â??toe in the water' for anyone who wants to enjoy the freedom of camping, but who would also like to have the benefits of a few home comforts. Our wooden wigwam cabins each have electric light, panel heater, standard UK household sockets, mattresses and their own picnic bench outside. Our two large wigwams have cushioned seating, free standing table and a kettle.

All you have to bring is your sleeping bags, pillows and a whole bag of fun. We can also hire you a log burning stove with a BBQ attachment.

You have no need to call to the supermarket as we have BBQ essentials in our Farm Shop.

FARM SHOP AND TEA ROOM

Our Farm Shop & Tea Room specialize in locally sourced food and drink from the Hadrians Wall corridor and our chef creates freshly prepared breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas together with hearty Sunday lunches each week.

Our outdoor seating area provides the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the stunning Northumbrian countryside while perhaps enjoying a drink from our fully licensed Tea Room.
