Set in the heart of the South Hams, Island Lodge is a family friendly site that makes a perfect location for a relaxing holiday. It also makes a great base for exploring the area all year round.

The park is located 1 mile north of Kingsbridge which is a traditional working town that has a variety of shops, public houses, restaurants and markets.

There are a number of sandy and pebbled beaches and coves along the South Hams Coastline. The South West Coastal path is easily accessible from the site. The local area of Island Lodge and Kingsbridge has places for fishing, boating, horse riding and cycling.

The park caters to caravans, motor homes and tents. Their facilities include modern well-equipped toilet facilities, free hot water showers, laundry, washing-up facilities, a chemical disposal point, electric hook-ups. They also have a children's play area that has a swing, slide and a climbing frame. The park allows dogs but they must be kept on a lead at all times.

Island Lodge has both touring and seasonal pitches. There are hard standing super pitches available. They have a special offer available for 5 nights or more excluding July, August and weeks that contain Bank and Public Holidays. See Island Lodge's website to find out more details about tariffs.

They offer both seasonal and winter storage on the site. They welcome rallies. Call the site to find out more. There is a large rally field available.

Just one mile from the site is Kingsbridge which has a wide selection of shops, restaurants, takeaways and pubs. They have great car parking facilities near the tourist information centre. This centre is well-located for access to the town. There is an outdoor market that operates 2 to 3 times per week depending on the time of the year.

Walkers will love the amazing coastline of the South Hams. Water sport lovers will be well-catered for as well as those who just enjoy relaxing on the beach as there are many beaches in the area. Slapton Sands is a shingle beach that is nearby and Blackpool Sands is a sandy one that people enjoy.

The surrounding area has many villages. You can take the A379 to Dartmouth and visit a few of them. You will also see some of the most beautiful scenery in the South Hams.
