Adjacent to the park is Strathlene Golf Club which offers free golf for up to 4 people per day for guests of Findochty Caravan Park.
OUT AND ABOUT
There is a picturesque harbour surrounded by clusters of houses that are brightly painted in a style unique to the area adjacent to the park's eastern boundary. Findochty itself was once a busy fishing port but now the harbour and its pontoon jetties accommodate more than a hundred pleasure boats and small fishing craft.
The local area is widely recognised for regular sightings of dolphins and porpoise which seem to traverse the coast daily. There is also an abundance of varied bird life in the area.
There are coastal and clifftop walks just a few steps to the west.
The local bowling green is located to the south where all are made very welcome. Strathlene Golf Course overlooks to the park. It is a popular getaway for regular and occasional visitors. There is plenty to see and do in the local area. You can also just sit and look out northward onto the rocky outcrops and ever changing sea with the famous Moray Firth sunsets.
DIRECTIONS:
For the easiest route if towing a caravan, take the A98 and follow signs to Buckie and then on to Findochty. As you enter Findochty bear left down a hill towards the harbour (School Hill) and then turn first left into Jubilee Terrace as if going into the harbour. The park is on the west side of the harbour just behind the Admiral Pub.
From Cullen direction follow the Findochty signs just as you leave Cullen heading towards Buckie. As you enter Findochty you will be going down a hill, just after a left hand bend as the road begins to level out as you pass Seaview Road on the right, take the next very sharp right hand turn (School Hill) down to the harbour and then first left into Jubilee Terrace as above. This is a very sharp bend and is not really suitable for towing vehicles but it can be taken with care.
