Located 5 miles from the port of Stranraer, Drumlochart Caravan Park is family-run park that prides itself on being the only 5 Star park in the area. The pretty fishing town of Portpatrick is only 8 miles away from the site.
The part of Dumfries and Galloway that the park is in is known for its mild climate that is influenced by the Gulf Stream. Drumlochart is set in 22 acres of mixed woodland with clearings edged with rhododendron hedges that give privacy and shelter to everyone. Drumlochart Caravan Park is surrounded by breathtaking views and is the ideal for exploring or relaxing.
The site's facilities include:
? A heated outdoor swimming pool and a separate children's paddling pool for the under 5's.
? A fishing Loch that is stocked with rainbow and brown trout, bream, roach, perch and a variety of other species.
? A children's play park that has recently been upgraded.
? A games room that provides lots of entertainment for all ages.
? The Aldouran Lounge Bar that has various entertainment provided during peak season.
? A separate "Teen Sceneâ? room that is especially adapted for young adults.
? Immaculate shower block facilities for the tourers.

The site is well-catered for touring and motor caravans. They have 30 hard standing pitches available, all which feature electric hook-up points. Every pitch has a lawned area that includes a space to park your car and pitch your awning.
The site's shower block is for the touring section only. The block is kept spotlessly clean and includes toilets, hot showers and hair dryers. They also have a separate outside dish washing area. The laundry room features commercial sized washing machines, tumble dryer, separate washing sink and ironing facilities.
The park's aim is to provide a safe and happy environment so that everyone can enjoy their time at Drumlochart.
DIRECTIONS
From Dumfries on A75, turn right on entering Stranraer signed Kirkcolm and harbour. Turn left onto A718 at the â??T' junction.
At roundabout take road straight across signed Kirkcolm continue to Leswalt (2.5 miles).
Turn left at the church (B7043) on entering Leswalt. Drumlochart is on your right after 1.5 miles.
From Ayr on A77 follow road around Loch Ryan to Stranraer and continue to Leswalt on A718 as above.
