Set amongst wooded parkland that borders the eastern shore of Lake Windermere, Fallbarrow is one of Britain's most beautiful lakeside holiday parks. They have been awarded 5 Stars by the British Tourist Board.
The park has extensive grounds that run right down to the water's edge. Just across the lake is Hill Top at Sawrey which is a location that famous children's author Beatrix Potter based one of her stories on. The park is described as, "A park situated in an area of outstanding scenic beauty.â?
When you stay at Fallbarrow you have access to the lovely Lake Windermere at your doorstep. They have 2 slipways and 3 jetties that make launching and recovery very easy.
They have a variety of children's facilities including a multi-activity play area and outdoor fun and games. Fallbarrow has an on-site bar and restaurant that serves a variety of meals including deli foods and a selection of beers.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the local area. There are tennis courts, golf courses, sailing, windsurfing schools and pony trekking stables. Within 5 minutes you can be at the centre of Bowness which features many attractions and restaurants including the famous Lake Windermere Steamers.
Fallbarrow's great range of nearby facilities is combined with the park's convenient and unrivalled location near the villages of Bowness and Windermere.
TOURING HOLIDAYS
Fallbarrow's pitches are hard standing and are surrounded by spacious grass with private screening. They have some all weather awning bases. They also provide direct connection to water, waste, electricity and TV hook up. The pitches are located just a short stroll to Bowness village and the lake shore.

DIRECTIONS
Leave the M6 at junction 36, take the left hand lane onto the A590 (signposted Kendal, Barrow)
Continue forward onto the A591 (signposted Windermere)
At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A591 (signposted Windermere)
Continue forward on the A591 through Stavely and Ings (warning Speed Camera) passing Windermere to the mini roundabout signposted Bowness, Ambleside, Ullswater)
Turn left at the mini roundabout onto the A592 (signposted Bowness)
Continue along A592 1.3 miles to Fallbarrow Park
