Wyeside Caravan and Camping Park

The Wyeside Caravan and Camping Park is a well established and popular for both British and Continental visitors. The site nestles on the peaceful banks of the River Wye just 400 yards walk to Rhayader town in beautiful Mid-Wales, with many activities to enjoy on and around the site.

It is an ideal holiday centre for young and old alike, the River Wye runs through the site and is ideal for swimming, and canoeing or fishing in.

THE SITE IS IN THREE SECTIONS

Touring Caravans

All of Wyeside Caravan and Camping Park's touring caravan pitches in this section have electric hook-ups and television hook-up with both grass and hardstanding pitches seasonal touring pitches are available as well as units staying for just one night or more.

This area is served by its own very nice toilet and shower block which also has disabled facilities, pot wash, chemical disposal, hairdryers are provided in both blocks. We DO NOT require a deposit when making a booking for electric hook-up pitches

Camping Field

This field is a beautiful green area for camping, touring caravans and camper vans. There are limited electric hook-ups in this field, it is served by its own large modern toilet and shower block with disabled facilities, pot washing and launderette, all our showers are free and always hot water.

Adjoining this field is the Waun Capel Park with bowling green (one of the best in Wales), tennis courts, putting golf, playing field and of course a children's park.

The Static Caravans

Most of these are privately owned and our annual rents are reasonable we occasionally have vans for sale on site but these sell quickly contact us if you would like to know more about owning a caravan at Wyeside. We also have caravans for hire.

The reception is at the entrance to Wyeside Caravan and Camping Park and we also live on the premises should you require any assistance during your stay. We also keep a reasonable selection of caravan and camping accessories including tents, sleeping bags, airbeds, water pumps, pegs. Food shopping there is a large SPAR in town.

Wyeside Caravan and Camping Park also have a good sized tourist centre where we endeavour to keep as much local info as possible.

OUT AND ABOUT

Located in the old market town of Rhayader, Wyeside Caravan and Camping Park is the gateway to the extensive Elan Valley which consists of a network of 4 dams set in 16 square miles of beautiful countryside. Whether you like cycling, walking, bird watching or just soaking up the views then this is the place to go.

The bijou town of Rhayader offers visitors impressive architecture inclusive of their four faced town clock, cosy and welcoming tea and coffee shops, a small supermarket, local produce retailers and a well equipped Leisure Centre

Rhayader is best known to some as gateway to the Elan Valley offering stunning scenery, wonderful walking and some of the best mountain biking routes in the British Isles. The area is also famed for its rare and beautiful wildlife - most notably the magnificent Red Kites most easily seen at Gigrin Farm Red Kite Centre.

Throughout the year there are events and activities on offer - walking, running, biking, fishing, motor cross, horse riding, wildlife and birdwatching, photography, arts and crafts, music, dance and drama, shows, festivals and carnival.
