Situated in a quiet valley that runs down to the clean, golden sandy beach at Penbyrn, Maes Glas is a small, picturesque park. Penbryn beach is an unspoilt National Trust Beach.
Maes Glas is perfectly situated for exploring the Ceredigion Coastal Path.
The park has won 12 David Bellamy Gold Awards for their efforts in Conservation. They continue in their commitment to conserving the environment of their park.
Maes Glas' amenities include an on-site shop that offers a wide range of goods, a variety of hot takeaway foods, a laundrette, a children's play area and a Gamezone with a pool table and video games that keeps both young and old amused. The park has plenty of open space to roam.
TOURING AND CAMPING
The site has pitches for 6 tourers or motor homes and 4 tent pitches. They are set half a mile away from the clean, safe beach at Penbryn.
LUXURY CARAVAN HOLIDAY HOMES FOR HIRE
Maes Glas has 2 modern luxury caravans for hire.
Their 6 berth accommodation has a lounge and dining area, a kitchen, a main double bedroom and 2 separate twin bedrooms. Each of the beds in the caravans is suitable for adults or children. The site provides a colour TV that can be used free of charge.
Both of the caravans have a toilet, shower, water heater, refrigerator, colour TV, electricity and gas for cooking and heating.
The bedrooms and the bathroom have low wattage electric panel heaters. The price you pay includes gas and electricity. There are no extra charges.
DIRECTIONS
Maes Glas is approximately 1.5 miles from the main A487 Aberystwyth to Cardigan road, so we are well away from any traffic noise and yet not too far off the beaten track.
Take the turning marked "Penbryn" at the cross roads (just before the converted church and just after the village of Brynhoffnant if you are coming from Aberystwyth or just after the village of Sarnau if you are coming from Cardigan).
Follow this road for just over a mile until you see a phone box on your right . Take the left hand fork at the junction (bridge over stream on your right) and keep on to the next corner where you will find the entrance to Maes Glas.
