Breckland Meadows Touring Park
Breckland Meadows Touring Park is an Adults Only park that offers guests peace and tranquillity. They are set within easy reach of the historic market town of Swaffham and make an excellent base for exploring East Anglia and the local area.
Touring Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents are welcome and their are also Caravans for Hire.
Breckland Meadows Touring Park is level and offers guests a choice of grass or hard standing pitches. Both types of pitch include 16 amp electric hook-ups. They request that a breathable groundsheet be used if you are pitching an awning on grass in order to maintain the grass for future visitors.
Facilities include a heated amenity block that has free showers and a separate heated washroom that is equipped for the disabled.
They also have a washing machine, tumble dryer and some sinks for washing-up.
There is a gate at the side of the site that leads directly onto a walk that is called Swaefas Way. It is ideal for walking your dog or simply taking a pleasant stroll. East of Swaffham is the Peddars Way which is a walk of a much greater distance that is suitable for more adventurous hikers.
Breckland Meadows Touring Park is ideally placed for visiting the entirety of Norfolk. No matter whether you are visiting the park for a short stay or a much longer one there is always something to see and do.
The park is rurally situated but those that don't want to drive can reach Swaffham town centre in just a 10 minutes' walk.
Swaffham has a wide selection of small shops, restaurants, pubs, fish and chip shops, takeaway outlets, a great museum, many supermarkets, a small caravan sales and parts centre, a tourist information centre and more.
There is plenty to see and do in the area whether it is visiting the lovely Norfolk coastline, nature reserves, museums, wildlife parks, ruins, historic houses, quaint villages, busy towns, gardens, forests, walks or cycling routes.
Local attractions include a visit is the Green Britian Centre where you can climb the 300 steps to the viewing platform of the Windmill Turbine. The Swaffham Museum that celebrates Howard Carter the man who discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamen. Thetford is home to England's newest whisky distillery.
Breckland Meadows Touring Park is on the midway point of the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path which will take you all the way to the Norfolk coast.
CARAVANS FOR HIRE
Are you one of the people who enjoy caravanning but get tired of towing their caravan around?
Breckland Meadows Touring Park has modern touring caravans permanently sited on their park.
Their hire vans have a fixed double bed. Guests can also make up an additional bed if required. Each one has a cooker, refrigerator, digital TV, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, a kettle and a toaster.
The only thing that guests need to bring is their own bedding and towels.
DIRECTIONS
A1065 Northbound
On reaching Swaffham stay in the left hand lane unit you reach the T junction (keeping the bandstand on your right). Turn left and our park is on the right less than a mile, passing a supermarket on the left and a petrol station on the right.
A1065 Southbound
Turn right at traffic lights and our park is on the right in less that a mile,
passing a supermarket on the left in 3/4 mile.
A47 Eastbound
Take the first exit off the dual carriageway at Swaffham, signpost Swaffham.
Our park is on the left in 3/4 mile.
A47 Westbound
Follow brown caravan signs off dual carriageway and turn right at the end of slip road towards Swaffham. At traffic lights turn right and our park is on the right in less than a mile, passing a supermarket on the left and a petrol station on the right.
