White House Campsite
Set in the heart of Wales, White House Campsite is a small caravan and camping site. They are set right next to the River Wye and they are located just a short walk away from the centre of Builth Wells and the Royal Welsh Showground at Llanelwedd.
White House Campsite is a great place to stay for awhile as they have new shower and toilet facilities, hard standing pitches and hot water for washing-up. The entire site is flat and level. The shower and toilet block has been designed to be accessible for those with disabilities.
The Royal Welsh Show is held in Builth Wells each year in July. The Showground is just a 10 minute walk away from White House Campsite. It is essential to book during the week of the show. You should bear this in mind when planning your stay. There are a number events that take place at the Showground throughout the year. You can visit the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society website to see a list of all the events that take place there during the year.
Builth Wells has plenty to keep guests entertained including an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, a sports centre, a swimming pool and excellent bars and restaurants. Nearby you can enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, fishing and cycling. White House Campsite is on the route of the Wye Valley Walk and Lôn Las Cymru, the Welsh National Cycle Route which runs from north to south Wales.
Guests do not usually need to book in advance but sometimes it is a good idea to check if they have room. This is a good idea if you want to stay during bank holiday weekends or if you would like to hook-up to electricity on park on a hard standing pitch.
