Leominster is a busy market town in Hertfordshire. Herefordshire stretches from the stunning Wye Valley with its dramatic cliff geography to the hills along the Welsh marches. Along the way are the rivers of Kenwater and Lugg as well as small villages and beautiful countryside.

One of the oldest priories in Britain that dates back to medieval times is just outside the centre of Leominster. You can still see the last ducking stool to be used in England in 1809 within the priory church.

Leominster used to be a wool town and many of the features and buildings from medieval times still remain. Leominster is a town well worth a visit with its narrow streets and alleyways and many black and white timber framed buildings that now house a variety of shops.

At The Barons Cross Inn & Campsite you can pitch your tent or park your motor home on the site's camping area. You can enjoy the local walks and wonderful scenery or simply relax with a glass of wine or a pint of their guest ale in their beer garden.

Campers enjoy 24-hour access to the Inn's washrooms with a key that is issued on your arrival. A small refundable key deposit is required. Every pitch has a 16 amp electric supply and its own water tap.

You can get breakfasts at the inn. You have a choice between a traditional full English or continental or you can just have a bowl of cereal, whatever you want. They can also get your daily newspaper ordered to read while you enjoy your breakfast.

The site has a safe fully enclosed beer garden with a children's play area that includes swings, slides, a playhouse and a netted trampoline.

They also feature a large field for exercising your pet. It is a dog friendly establishment as the owners have two dogs of their own. The owners can also advise you on the local attractions and walks.

There is full internet access and Wi-Fi connection in the Inn for no extra cost so that you can keep in touch with those back home. Only 3 miles away from the town centre is Leominster Golf Course. The leisure centre is close by that with a swimming pool and a gym.
