Camping & Caravanning

New House Farm makes an excellent base for exploring the Welsh borders. Their camping and caravanning site is set on a working hill farm nestled in the Radnorshire hills. Only 7 miles away is the world famous book town of Hay-on-Wye and 15 miles away is Builth Wells which is the home of the Royal Welsh showground.

The site is set in a quiet location that you access by going up a no through road while passing little traffic. New House Farm is ideal for those looking to enjoy the peace and quiet of rural Wales.

Guests will receive a warm welcome at this quiet, family-run site. New House Farm has facilities for tents, caravans and motor caravans. The facilities include free hot showers and farm produce. Guests can treat themselves to one of the site’s camper breakfasts that are served in the farmhouse conservatory. They serve three course meals most evenings at the site.

• Hay-on Wye. World famous town of second hand books and The Literary Festival - 7 miles.

• Brecon. Market town with some excellent museums and a cathedral.

• Hereford. 20 miles. The cathedral houses the Mappa Mundi and the chained library. Bulmers Cider Museum is also well worth a visit.

• Kington - 12 miles. Visit the Small Breeds Farm where you can see many varieties of animals including owls and small farm animals.

There are over 20,000 acres of rolling hills on our doorstep, giving access to some of the most beautiful countryside in Wales. Here is the ideal walking, riding and mountain biking country.

DIRECTIONS

We are situated 7 miles north of Hay-on-Wye and 1 mile north of the village of Rhosgoch, between the villages of Painscastle and Newchurch. From Clyro (situated on the Hereford to Brecon road A438) Take the road to the north following the signs to Painscastle and then Rhosgoch. On reaching the village, take the no through road by the chapel. The farm is situated on the left after one and a quarter miles.
