Saxdale House Farm Camping Site is run by Jonathan and Karen Leonard. They aim to keep standards high and their prices extremely competitive. Saxdale House is a peaceful site that is set within 5 acres of land that encircles the Saxdale House Farm.

The site is located only minutes away by car from the charming village of Hunmanby and magnificent beach at Hunmanby Gap. Just 3 miles away is Filey and 9 miles away are both Bridlington and Scarborough. Guests can enjoy activities on the coast and then return to the peace of the campsite to enjoy an evening barbeque.

The owners and their wardens aim to provide customers with friendly, helpful service. Saxdale House Farm Camping Site is quiet and •immaculately clean and well-maintained. Security includes CCTV that is in operation around the entrance and a gate that is locked at night. There are signs in place enforces a 5 MPH speed limit for children's safety.

There are many places of interest in the local area that will all members of the family:

? • Birdwatching can be enjoyed at Bempton, Flamborough and Ravenscar.

? • Walking is available on coastal footpaths, the rolling chalklands of the Wolds, the North York Moors National Park, the Dalby Forest, the Cleveland Way, Lyke Wake Walk and Wolds Way. These are just a few examples of places to walk, there are even more out there.

? • Cycling can be enjoyed right from the site as Saxdale House Farm stands on one of the several designated cycle ways in the area. There are also many cycling tracks within the Dalby Forest.

? • Golf can be enjoyed at a 9 hole golf course that is located in the village 2 minutes from the farm.

Saxdale House Farm Camping Site has a choice of caravan pitches, subject to availability. They have both individual and privately screened pitches with conifer hedging or pitches with more extensive views of the countryside. Every pitch comes with 16 amp electric hook-ups. All of the pitches are very spacious.

The site does not charge extra for awnings. Electric or gas fires are not allowed in awnings as it destroys the grass. There are Elsan disposal and drinking water points located near the pitches as well as a refurbished shower and toilet block. There is also an on-site shop. Saxdale House Farm Camping Site welcomes both children and dogs to the site. If you bring your dog to the site it must be kept on a lead at all times. There is an area of land off of the site where dogs can be exercised off of their lead.

Those that enjoy their holidays under a canvas are welcome to bring their tent or trailer tent to the site. They offer a peaceful and quiet tent field where guests can look at the stars at night. Tenters are allowed to make barbecues as long as they are not directly on the grass. They ask all of their patrons to keep the noise to a minimum after 10:00 p.m. because they are a quiet site.

The site has a number of tent pitches, some of which come with 16 amp electric hook-ups. The pitches with electric hook-ups are subject to availability. All of the tent pitches are level, spacious and have good drainage.

There are drinking water points and an Elsan disposal point nearby the tenting field as well as a refurbished shower and toilet block. It is also near the site's shop. Saxdale House Farm Camping Site provides a washing-up area with hot water, 20p and a bin area.
