Low Glengyre Farm CL is located in the Southern Uplands where you will be met with tranquillity upon your arrival. You can sit in your caravan and view the hills overlooking Loch Ryan and realise that your holiday has just begun.

It is set on a family-run dairy farm just 7 miles from Stranraer. This gives the site easy access to the Northern Irish Ferry Routes.

Low Glengyre provides all the comforts of home. There are laundry facilities, a heated shower room, toilets, hot and cold water, hand washing facilities at the waste disposal area and hard standing pitches. The owners are caravanners themselves and know what is needed to make your stay the best that it can be.

New this year are Fully Serviced Pitches and dish-washing facilities! The fully serviced pitches have television hook-up points to a digital aerial to ensure reception.

ATTRACTIONS

The area's local attractions are mainly focused on nature and the countryside. Those interested in gardening, walking, golfing, fishing or simply enjoying the scenery around them will have their needs well catered for.

There are some excellent sub-tropical gardens in the area. You can see Logan Botanic Gardens, Castle Kennedy Gardens, Ardwell Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens and Dunskey Gardens. There are some lovely sandy beaches in the area for children.

The more traditional tourist attractions include Port Logan Fish Pond, Marine Life Centre, Creetown Gem Rock Museum, Bladnoch Distillery, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, Glenluce Abbey and Monreith Animal World. The site is also near to Northern Ireland and the ferry companies have some excellent day trips to Ireland.

The problem with this part of Scotland is that once you stay here, you won't want to go home.

DIRECTIONS

Follow the A718 out of Stranraer heading for Leswalt/Kirkcolm. At the roundabout, go straight ahead (for Leswalt). In the village, turn right past the school (Ervie Road - B798). The CL is located approximately 2.25 miles along this road on the left hand side.
