Located on the outskirts of Hawkshead, The Croft Caravan and Campsite is a small site that caters for families, couples and camping club members. Hawkshead is a picturesque village that is nestled in the heart of Beatrix Potter country.

The Croft Caravan and Campsite is surrounded by the lovely Lakeland Fells. Esthwaite Water is just a short walk from the park. These natural surroundings provide the backdrop to the park.

You can stay in one of the site's self-catering flats or static caravans which offer you all the peace and tranquillity that you will need. You will surely be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. The Croft also has a campsite for those that prefer to camp or tour with caravans. There are many facilities for the discerning holidaymaker.

Deep in the heart of Beatrix Potter country is the city of Hawkshead. It is within the Vale of Esthwaite. The village is located 2 miles west of Lake Windermere. It has been named, "the prettiest little village in the Lake District.�

The village is a mixture of historic and picturesque settings. There are whitewashed walls that contrast against the narrow cobbled streets. The streets are adorned with hanging baskets that are filled with a profusion of colour.

They have friendly pubs that serve great bar food for your appetite. The village has a tremendous community spirit that will keep you returning again and again.

CAMPSITE

The Croft Caravan and Campsite have a large, well sheltered campsite that is surrounded by lovely Lakeland hills and fells. They have all of the facilities that you need to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.

The Croft welcomes touring caravans, motor homes, trailer tents and tents. You can get pitches with electric hook-up from £15 per pitch per night.

CARAVAN HOLIDAY HOMES FOR HIRE

Each caravan at The Croft Caravan and Campsite is well designed and well-appointed and features fitted carpets and quality fitting. They all can sleep up to 6 people.

HOLIDAY FLATS

The Croft Caravan and Campsite have converted some attractive houses into 9 well maintained holiday flats that are available for let throughout the year. They have 3 ground floor flat and 3 that are situated on the first floor level. They also have 3 split level flats.

? A large shower / w.c. block including: wash basins with hot and cold water, shaving points, hair dryers are also available.

? Separate campsite utility room for washing dishes etc.
