Pilgrims Retreat can offer both residential and leisure homes to cater for those who want a consistently peaceful lifestyle and those that simply want a break from the norm every once in a while. You can swim in their indoor heated pool, work out in their community gymnasium or meet your neighbours in their club house and coffee. All of their facilities are open 365 days a year. You can also relax in your own hot tub.
Nature lovers will enjoy the site's centralised lake as well as the multiple nature walks and trails within the vast woodlands that encompass the retreat. These walks are great for those with pets as well. Pets are very welcome at Pilgrims Retreat.
Pilgrims Retreat offers 30 acres of lovely scenery, luxurious lodges of all shapes and sizes and like-minded people with the desire for peaceful living. Why would you want to be anywhere else?
The retreat is situated with a beautiful countryside with many great sites nearby from castles to park lands. Just a 10 minute drive away is the stunning Leeds Castle. You will never be short of places to visit when you stay at Pilgrims Retreat.
The county of Kent has a natural advantage with 2 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering a third of the county.
The Kent Downs cover 878 square km, which is nearly a quarter of the county. They encompass the chalky White Cliffs of Dover to the London and Surrey borders. It is a nationally important landscape that is alive with flowers, rare orchids and butterflies. Those wide, open views really liberate the mind and soul which makes it easy to unwind.
You can explore the open, dramatic landscape of Romney Marsh and the iconic White Cliffs countryside. You can also discover the historic landscape of the High Weald, the other Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its rolling hills and flower meadows.
East Kent's landscape is a wonderfully diverse one that is rich in its arable land, fruit growing, horticulture and wildlife. Natural East Kent (NEK) is a long term initiative to support the sustainable regeneration of rural and coastal East Kent communities through the area's natural environment and heritage.
There are many great activities to enjoy in the area such as walking, cycling and horse riding. There is nothing quite like exploring outdoor Kent.
