Waterfront Country Park

Located in an attractive setting of 5 acres of flat, level grassland near the lovely beautiful West Stockwith Marina, Waterfront Country Park is a touring caravan site. It is the area here where the Chesterfield Canal joins the River Trent.

The site was acquired by new owners in October 2007 who intend to preserve the site but also have plans to improve the site in the future. Waterfront Country Park is a haven of peace and tranquillity.

They have started a new building programme and have added many new hard standings as well as service roads. The site has always had a toilet waste emptying facility but soon they will have a new toilet and amenity block.

There are quiet local roads that are great for walking and cycling. From the Marina you can go along the Trent Valley Way and the Cuckoo Way.

The Chesterfield Canal features coarse fishing all year round. You can purchase permits on site. You will also find many other local coarse and trout fisheries.

Grove House Stables in Miserton feature horse riding. The stables also have a great cafe that serves a good hearty breakfast and feature curry night where you can eat as much as you want.

Just a few minutes' walk from Waterfront Country Park is West Stockwith Village Hall which has regular film nights. The village runs 'Murder Mystery' evenings. Those that stay at Waterfront Country Park can get into these evenings free of charge. If you purchase a locally made beef burger or hot dog it helps the village run these evenings so come and enjoy a film.

You can easily access Waterfront Country Park from the main UK road network. It is conveniently near Lincoln, Doncaster, Sheffield and Nottingham. The park is situated on the borders of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.

Waterfront Country Park is an ideal base for visiting Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood country. Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire are famed for their peace and tranquility, even so there is lots to see and lots to do. You can go to Nottingham, Lincoln, Doncaster and Sheffield which are all ideal for a day out and all are located less than an hour away from the site. The motorway links to the ferry port of Hull where you can sail to Rotterdam and Zeebruge.
