Set inland in the town of Gatehouse of Fleet, Anwoth Holiday Park maintains the same excellent quality and service that has set its livelier sister park, Auchenlarie, apart from the rest of the area's holiday parks.

Anwoth Holiday Park offers their guests peace and tranquillity but guests are welcome to use all the facilities at Auchenlarie Holiday Park including heated indoor swimming pool and gym.

Also, during the season there is fantastic children's entertainment at Auchenlarie with weekly shows in the Starlight Suite รข?? all for Anwoth visitors to enjoy.

There are some of the most beautiful landscapes and scenery that have inspired the authors and poets of Scotland right on the doorstep. The local area is a haven for wildlife where guests can see herds of deer roaming the landscape and otters living in their natural habitat. Those that explore the countryside will see birds of prey, red squirrels and a wide array of other wildlife. There are several major rivers in the area including the Esk, Annan, Nith, Ken, Dee and Cree. Fishermen will be pleased to know that all of these rivers are notable for salmon and trout fishing and they are all near to the site.

Anwoth Holiday Parkhas a range of holiday homes for that offer an unrivalled combination of quality and value. Every holiday home is available for either multiples of 7 night bookings or for mid week or week end short breaks. The site's bookings start from a Monday or a Friday. This means that they can accommodate weekend breaks at even their busiest times. This also gives guests the option of have a 10 or 11 day break if they wish.

Anwoth Holiday Park welcomes caravans, motor homes and tents to tour at Auchenlarie and Anwoth. There are magnificent views at Auchenlarie and Anwoth is extremely peaceful. The sites have high quality touring facilities as well that include showers, constant hot water, hair dryers and shaving points. All of this combines to create a holiday that you will remember.

The area of Dumfries and Galloway has a wide array of attractions to visit. Guests will find many historical and interesting sites such as Cairnholy, Cardoness Castle, Carsluith Castle, Drumcoltran Tower, Dundrennan Abbey, Kenmure Castle, Mote of Mark, Mote of Urr, Orchardton Tower and Threave Castle.

Creetown Gem Rock Museum is an interesting and dazzling museum that has one of the most comprehensive collections of gems and minerals. It has taken them over 50 years to assemble such an impressive collection. There visitors can also explore the atmospheric Gemstone Cave and watch gemstones being polished in the museum's workshop.

The local area is a paradise for nature lovers and outdoor folk. There are nature sties, forest trails, sailing centres, scenic walks and rambles all around the area. There are many craft and gift shops nearby where you can purchase something to remind you of your excellent holiday.

There are several pubs in the local area that play live traditional music. Both the Galloway and the Portpatrick Folk Festivals are hosted in the area. There are many folk clubs that meet regularly in Dalbeattie and Stranraer. The nearby town of Creetown holds its famous Country Music Festival in the middle of September every year. The Wickerman Festival at Dundrennan in July is perfect for fans of pop music. The region has many galas that usually feature a jazz band.
