Pen y Bont Touring & Camping Park

Located in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, Pen y Bont is a quiet and tranquil family-run park that is just 100 yards from Bala Lake.

The site has received 4 Stars by the Wales Tourist Board, 4 Pennants from the AA and has also recently been awarded the Top UK site for Watersports.

Pen y Bont occupies 6 acres and has 95 touring and tent pitches. Pitches are intermingled with trees in the site's sensitively landscaped setting. The site is a great base for exploring North Wales and for just relaxing and unwinding. The park's natural surroundings create a relaxed holiday environment for customers who are seeking a quiet rural retreat.

The site usually caters to small families and couples. There must be a prior arrangement for large groups.

Pen y Bont is one of the best sites to experience watersports. The outdoor culture attracts visitors who come to experience saling, canoeing, white water rafting, wind surfing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching, the small gauge railway, 4X4 off road experiences, paintball, high ropes and of course the site's lovely scenery and abundance of wildlife.

Dogs are welcome on the park but they must be kept on a lead or secured while on the park itself. There are many great dog walks nearby though.

The reception area features a well-stocked shop that sells tent pegs, airbeds, fresh bread, milk, free range eggs, local cheese and more.
