Downton Holiday Park

Located close to the New Forest, Downton Holiday Park is small, peaceful park that is ideally placed for a family holiday. It is less than a 5 minutes' walk away from the beach and green fields are across Downton Lake from the site.

The park has room for 22 caravans on their small site. They take pride in looking after all of them and keeping the site clean and tidy. In addition there are 55 privately-owned caravans on-site. They believe they are the most reasonably priced park in the area and that it would be difficult for you to find a better value for your money.

Near the campsite is the New Forest. It is England's most famous woodland and it covers 90,000 acres. You can see the mighty oak and beech trees, wild ponies and deer. Other attractions include the Tall Tree Walk at Rhinefield, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and Exbury Gardens.

Within easy reach from Downton Holiday Park are Lymington, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight. You can enjoy sailing, boating, golf, fishing, wind-surfing and horse-riding in these areas. Nearby Mudeford and Highcliffe have great sandy beaches.

Site amenities include a children's play area, laundry and a public telephone.

We have 4 categories of caravan entitled OAK, FOREST, EXBURY and SWAY.

The OAK (35ft by 12ft), is our largest model, and with three bedrooms, can accommodate up to eight persons. The accommodation comprises one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, with additional double sleeping area in the lounge.

The FOREST (28ft by 12ft), is a two-bedroom caravan and can accommodate up to six or seven persons, depending on each individual layout. The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom (some with a half bunk for a child) and additional sleeping area in the lounge.

The SWAY (26ft by 10ft), is also a two-bedroom caravan and can accommodate up to six or seven persons depending on each individual layout. The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom (some with a half bunk for a child) and additional sleeping area in the lounge.

The EXBURY (either 28ft x 12ft or 28ft x 10ft 2 bedroom or 35ft x 12ft 3 bedroom) and is a category for guests who wish to bring their pets on holiday with them.

All caravans have a fitted shower and toilet, hot and cold water, fridge, gas or electric cooker and colour tv. Duvets (blankets for additional sleeping areas), pillows, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided, but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases and duvet cover(s), towels, tea cloths and tablecloth.

A small number of two-bedroom caravans also have a half bunk, which is suitable for a small child.
