Llys Derwen Caravan & Camping Site

Located at the foothills of Snowdonia, Llys Derwen Caravan and Camping is a small, friendly site that does not compromise on service. The park lies by the gateway to the National Park.

The site features well-appointed drive ways and grassy pitches on hard ground to ensure trouble free movement.

Facilities include a centrally heated utility block that has been recently refurbished. Inside are free hairdryers and showers for both males and females. The facilities have won the site a 4 star recommendation from the Welsh Tourist Board and 4 pennants off the AA.

The site caters to touring caravans, motor homes and tents. The site also has static caravans for hire.

There is ample room for activities on the site. They often host various rallies. Those interested can request full details.

OUT AND ABOUT:

Major attractions near by include ZipWorld (Europe’s longest and fastest Zip Wire) and Snowdon Mountain Railway (Steam railway to the highest mountain summit in England & Wales) and many others including:

The Royal Town of Caernarfon and its majestic castle, Llanberis Lake Railway, the Electric Mountain, Padarn Country Park, Dolbadarn Castle, waterfalls and much more. At Padarn Lake guests can rent pleasure boats, go surfing, kayaking and fishing.

Other nearby places of interest include Lleyn Peninsula, Anglesey, Llandudno, Chester, Portmeirion, Dolgellau, Ffestiniog, Betws y Coed, Llangollen all within an hour by car.

Literally across the road from the site guests can visit the village bakery. They produce the best cornish pasties straight from the oven. You can see all the bread, rolls, pasties and cakes made right in front of your eyes.

Just 500 metres down the road the Glyntwrog Inn serves wonderful bar meals every day until 9pm. Many of the park's guests have remarked of the convenience of being able to get a meal there and a few drinks and then leisurely return to the site without having to move their car or motor home.
