Dornoch Caravan and Camp Park

Set in an ideal location, Dornoch Caravan and Camp Park is near Dornoch's award-winning beautiful golden beaches, its magnificent golf course and Dornoch Cathedral.

The 25 acre park is open from 1st April to 30th October and is less than an hour's drive from Inverness which is the capital of the Highlands.

Dornoch Caravan and Camp Park is ideally situated because it is only 5 minutes from the main A9 road. It makes the perfect base for exploring the county of Sutherland and further afield - the Highlands.

Touring caravans, trailer tents, motor homes and tents are welcome to the park. There are both serviced and non-serviced pitches available and also caravan holiday homes for hire.

The park makes a perfect location for an active holiday in the Highlands. There is a large variety of sports and leisure activities available near the site. There are award-winning beaches to visit and an abundance of bird and other wildlife to see. Guests can enjoy the activities of cycling, golfing, walking, fishing, swimming, sailing, bowling, tennis and squash.

Sutherland is unique because it has 3 coasts: east, west and north. Dornoch is ideally situated with many centres of interest within a 2 hour car trip. Nearby is Golspie where guests can visit the world famous Dunrobin Castle and enjoy the facilities at the Sutherland Swimming Pool Complex.

At the Falls of Shin visitors can watch the salmon leap and a few miles further on visit the Ferrycroft Visitors Centre near Lairg to experience an audio-visual journey into the past to discover the peoples who lived here hundreds and thousands of years ago.

If you travel north towards Caithness you will pass through Brora and Helmsdale where you can visit The Timespan Centre run by the Helmsdale Heritage Society. Caithness itself has an attractive, wild coastline. There are day trips to the Orkney Islands available from Scrabster and John O'Groats. Visitors can also go to the Castle of Mey which is the former home of the late Queen Mother.

DIRECTIONS:

Follow the A9 towards Thurso and turn off at Dornoch. When you enter the centre of Dornoch turn right for 400 yards at the bottom of the Town Square.
