Muasdale Holiday Park

Touring Caravans - Tents - Motorhomes - Mini Pod and Mini Lodge - Villas

Muasdale Holiday Park is a small, peaceful and family-run park midway between Tarbert and Campbelltown, and in a coastal locale of splendid scenery, set right on the beach with striking vistas over to the islands of Islay, Jura and Gigha.

The aim of the park is to make you and your family welcome and there are no rules or regulations - just a great relaxed atmosphere. The location on the west coast of Kintyre with a sheltered beach is ideal for swimming and kayaking.

The ferries are a short drive from the site for spending days island hopping; you can even get over to Ballycastle and Northern Ireland for the day via the Isle of Islay.

The well-maintained park facilities include a shower block with two wash basins and private ladies' and gents' washing areas. A washing-up area, chemical toilet and waste water disposal areas, and recycling facilities are also on site.

Supplies can be picked up at two large supermarkets in Campbelltown, and at the shop of Glenbarr three miles away, which also has a small garden centre, a café and free wifi. The local bus stop 100 yards from the site runs to Campbeltown and Tarbert Taynloan to meet up with the Gigha ferry, or Kennacraig to meet up with the Islay ferry. This is also the main bus to Glasgow.

For the adventurous, there is surfing, mountain biking, hill walking and seatours all without crowds.

A gentle round of golf on one of the world famous local courses may be to your taste, or if you prefer a walk with a different challenge, you'll find mile upon mile of virtually deserted coastal paths to take in the spectacular views across to Ireland, Isla, Jura, Gigha, or Airshire.

If fishing or bird watching are your favourite hobbies, then you will find plenty to keep you amused.
