Situated on the south coast of Cornwall on the River Fowey, Polruan Holidays is a great place to spend your holiday. The lovely village of Polruan is located opposite the River Fowey.

Polruan is a small village that only has one road in or out. This road goes through the middle of the village and ends up on the village quay. Here you will find the Lugger Inn, which is a house with its own interesting history. You will find 2 pubs in the village. The second is Russell Inn, which is literally just up the steps from Lugger Inn. Each of the pubs features a wide range of food that is easy on your budget.

There is a passenger ferry that will take you across to Fowey from the quay. It is a 5 to 10 minute journey.

Porfell Wildlife Park - is more than just a wildlife park; it’s a sanctuary, a permanent home to animals from the wild and exotic places on earth, as well as our well-loved familiar friends.

The Monkey Sanctuary - has 40 years of experience caring for South American Primates. Formal talks, presentations and indoor displays give visitors the chance to learn about every aspect of the woolly and capuchin monkey life. All situated in beautiful woodlands overlooking Looe Bay.

Carnglaze Caverns - Consists of three underground caverns within the caverns is the famous subterranean lake with its crystal clear blue/green water, all this set in 6.5 acres of wooded hillside of the Loveny Valley at St Neot.

Bodmin Jail - Built in 1779 for King George III, using over 20,000 tons of granite from Bodmins local 'Cuckoo' quarry, visit the execution pit, stocks and underground cells. All set within 3 acres of original buildings and grounds. One of the 25 most haunted attractions in the UK.

The Lost Garden of Heligan - Voted the Nation's favourite garden by BBC Gardeners World, set in almost 200 glorious acres to explore all year round, a truly fascinating discovery a place definitely worth a visit. (Quickest route take the ferry at Bodinnick)

Bodmin & Wenford Railway - Enjoy a relaxing journey by Steam Train combined with countryside walks, a pub lunch or a visit to historic Lanhydrock House for a memorable day out.

DIRECTIONS:

From Plymouth A38 to Dobwalls, left onto A390 to East Taphouse then left onto B3359. After 4.5 miles turn right, signposted Polruan.
