OUT AND ABOUT
When you stay at the park, you can get in touch with nature and wildlife, and you can also use the park as a base for exploring all of the attractions of Cornwall.
The park is centrally located in the heart of Cornwall. Within reasonable driving distance is a large variety of places to visit and experience. Within easy reach are plenty of historic houses, castles and gardens and no less than 8 golf courses within a 12-mile radius.
• The park is located 10 miles from both the north and south coasts and the beach activities that they offer. You can enjoy sun bathing, surfing and making sand castles. Those who are more adventurous can enjoy kite surfing and sea kayaking. Many of the bays offer schools for novices and for those who wish to improve their techniques.
• A 5 minute bike ride on a relatively level route can take guests to the Camel Trail, which is a 16 mile, dedicated cycling and walking route that follows the old Atlantic Coast Express railway line between Bodmin and Padstow. This route is part of the Cornish Way, which is a cycle route around Cornwall.
• Eden Project - Ever evolving, this world famous project should not be missed. New and exciting projects, displays and events keep Eden a vibrant and ever changing attraction.
• Padstow - A fishing port and home to some brilliant restaurants including Rick Stein. Excellent beaches to visit during any season.
• Pencarrow House and Gardens lies at the foot of a sweeping valley between Bodmin and Wadebridge. The largely Georgian mansion is still owned and occupied by descendants of the family who settled there in the 1500s. A great day out for families, history enthusiasts and nature and garden lovers
