Lyons Gate Caravan Park is fully-equipped with superb facilities for tourers, tents and motor homes. They have pitches that lie within yards of and overlooking the fishing lakes. The park is situated near the quaint village of Cerne Abbas.

The park makes a great base for a holiday that you and your family will enjoy. It is a level site that is surrounded by woodland and 4 well-stocked fishing lakes.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a regular camper of if you are just looking for a something a little different to do on your holiday you are sure to have a memorable holiday at Lyons Gate Caravan Park.

The site now features Wi-Fi and for 2013 the showers and ladies facilities have been modernised.

Near Lyons Gate Caravan Park guests will find a family pub and restaurant, the famous Cerne Abbas Giant, some rolling hills and scenic country walks.

In a 20 minutes’ drive you can reach the local towns of Dorchester, Yeovil, Weymouth, and lovely coastlines with sandy beaches to enjoy.

The local area is famous for being the home of Thomas Hardy, the author and poet. There is a great tour of Hardy’s Dorset.

Visit Yeovil to find all the shops and amenities associated with a large town.

LYONS GATE FISHING

The four lakes are situated in the centre of Lyons Gate Caravan Park; each lake is well stocked with a range of fish. 6 species of Carp many 30lb+, Green and Golden Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Chubb, Barble & Golden Orfe. Fishing runs on a day ticket scheme paid for on the actual day.
