The nearest caravan and camping park to Fowey, Penhale Caravan and Camping Park is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The park lies on the Fowey side of the river and is just 1½ miles west from the centre of the town.

Penhale Caravan and Camping Park is a small, family-run site that offers guests relaxation in pleasant surroundings. The park is never overcrowded and does not feature a noisy club or bar. They have a small shop that provides all of the essentials in addition to a gas cylinder exchange facility for Calor Gas and Camping Gaz.

They have a small games room with a pool table and table tennis. The park is near sandy beaches, many lovely walks both coastal and inland and the famous Eden Project.

TOURING/CAMPING

Penhale Caravan and Camping Park's camping fields overlook gentle rolling farmland and St. Austell Bay. During the summer the swallows swoop and dive over the fields and you can see the hedgerows come alive with wild flowers. You can see the lights of Mevagissey twinkling in the distance over the way beautifully at night.

The site has levelled more of their pitches and has added additional electric hook-up points. They now have 34 electric pitches that are mostly level. Some are now hard standing. A majority of them feature their own water tap. Call the site at 01726 833425 to discuss your individual needs and what kind of pitch you are looking for. You can also choose to go standard camping with plenty of space to spread out with no overcrowding.

HOLIDAY HOMES FOR HIRE

They offer holiday homes for hire that make for a stress free holiday. They will have everything ready for your arrival. All guests will need to do is put the kettle on and relax with the site's complimentary Cornish tea and biscuits. The site is very proud of its 10 holiday homes. They all have great views that overlook the gentle rolling farmland to the coast and out to the sea. This peaceful and quiet setting makes the home a great place to unwind. They also make a great base for exploring the county. The homes have either 2 or 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to either 6 or 8 people.
