Golden Valley Camping and Caravan Park

Located in the beautiful hamlet of Golden Valley, Golden Valley Camping and Caravan Park nestles alongside the Cromford Canal that is set in Amber Valley, which is the heart of Derbyshire.

The park’s 26 acres are set in historic woodlands. They were once a thriving industry for coal, iron foundries and canal workers on the Cromford Canal.

There are many peaceful villages and vibrant market towns in Amber Valley. The valley has some of the most stunning scenery around. You can visit historic houses and heritage sites, Britain Pit Farm, walking routes and quality factory shopping. The site is within walking distance to steam trains. You get half price admission to Midland Railway Centre.

Golden Valley Camping and Caravan Park has 24 super pitches for motor homes and caravans. Each has its own independent water supply, electric hook-up point and mains drainage. They are set in spacious bays within select areas of woodland. There is plenty of room for camping and tents in the woodland.

Facilities include independent toilet and shower blocks, a laundry room, jacuzzi, gym, indoor children’s play room, outside play areas, cafe, bar and wildlife pond.

Golden Valley Camping and Caravan Park has an exciting fort adventure and trail blaze to keep your children entertained. They have a new 120m zip slide called “The Flying Dragon” as well as many wood sculptures around the park. They also offer donkey rides for children.

NEW!! CAMPING PODS

The pod is insulated with a double glazed window and patio doors, featuring a small wooden porch, it will comfortably sleep two adults. The pod has an electrical supply, table, chairs and a luxurious mattress on a double deb.

The sleeping area has a small wooden partition and archway that separates the room from the lounge area. Don’t forget to bring your own pillows and bed linen, or even a sleeping bag along with your camping equipment for a more authentic camping experience.
