Caerfai Bay Caravan and Tent Park

Uniquely situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Caerfai Bay Caravan and Tent Park is a quiet family-run park that offers unsurpassed panoramic views of the stunning coastal scenery. The park has just been awarded the AA Campsite of the Year Award (For Wales) 2013.

Within 300 metres of the site is Caerfai Bay which is an award winning sandy bathing beach that features fascinating caves and rock pools.

Caerfai Bay Caravan and Tent Park opens during the 1st week in March and closes at the end of the second week in November. The site caters to touring caravans, tents and motor homes.

The site consists of 3 separate enclosed areas. The first field is the caravan park. It is approximately 4 acres and can accommodate 60 Caravans. There are 25 touring pitches, all which have electric hook-ups. 17 of the touring pitches are hard standings. The rest are season site pitches, 9 of which are for hire.

The second and third fields are for tents and motor homes. They have plenty of electric hook-ups and some of the pitches are hard standings. If your motor home does not have an awning it may stay in the caravan field. If you choose to do so it will be subject to caravan rates either in the off season or during the school summer holidays if you have a dog. During school summer holidays dogs are not allowed.

Just 100 yards away from Caerfai Bay Caravan and Tent Park entrance is Caerfai Farm Shop which sells milk, organic produce and other groceries. The shop is open during school holiday periods from the end of May until the end of August. A 10 minute walk of less than a mile will take you to St. Davids and its shops.

A bus service can take you from St. Davids to the railway towns of Haverfordwest and Fishguard. The Celtic Coast bus runs from St. Davids to Whitesands beach, St Justinians and Porth Clais Harbour between the 1st of June and the end of September. The Puffin Shuttle runs during the summer period from St. Davids along the coastal route as far as Milford Haven. The Strumble Shuttle runs along the north coastal route as far as Fishguard.

Just off the main A487 at the top of the Caerfai Road is Oriel Y Parc Visitor Centre. It shares its location with the new landscape gallery. The new Oriel y Parc complex is run by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and The National Museums and Galleries of Wales. The Gallery interprets the landscape of Pembrokeshire as well as houses National and International works of art.

At the entrance is the National Park Visitor Centre which provides a wealth of local information and has a small shop and cafe.

Adjacent to the site is the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. To the east is Caerbwdy Bay and to the west is St. Nons Chapel. More serious walkers will enjoy walking to Solva or Whitesands Bay. The choice is yours to make.
