Caolasnacon Caravan and Camping Park
Situated in an idyllic setting on the south shore of Loch Leven, Caolasnacon Caravan and Camping Park is an AA recommended site and is also CCGBI approved. The park is close to the village of Kinlochleven and 4 miles from Ballachulish.
Guests can enjoy excellent boating and fishing on the loch. Those that enjoy water skiing and wind surfing can bring their own boat and equipment to this spacious expanse of water stretching from Kinlochleven to Glencoe.
Caolasnacon Caravan and Camping Park merges into its surroundings and has the advantage of being off the beaten track. The park is also an ideal centre for exploring the immediate area.
They welcome touring caravans, trailer tents, motor homes and tents to their site. They have 18 static caravans and 50 touring pitches, 30 with electric hook-ups. You can purchase Calor and Camping Gas on the site. They have a laundrette, dish washing area and free shower facilities.
Caolasnacon Caravan and Camping Park has 2 Midge Magnet Machines to keep away the Highland Midgies.
They pride themselves in welcoming families as the park is a perfect base for visiting tourist attractions in the Scottish Highlands.
The park makes a great centre for climbing and hill walking. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. The owners are particularly proud of the resident Golden Eagles.
There are beautiful country walks and nature treks right on the doorstep of the park. There are many outdoor activities that guests can enjoy such as skiing, mountain climbing, cycling, bird watching, wildlife watching, walking, boat trips, water sports, fishing and more.
When you stay at Caolasnacon Caravan and Camping Park you can enjoy the peace of the surrounding area and the beauty of Loch Leven right on the doorstep. You can also travel further afield to Fort William to enjoy Glen Nevis and the beautiful Ben Nevis.
Also near the park is Glencoe which is popular with climbers and walkers alike. It is also popular with those that are interested in the history of the more troubled times in the area. Within 1 or 2 hours drive of the park are Loch Ness, Oban, Mull and the Ardnamurchan Peninsula.
