Kilvrecht Caravan & Campsite
If you are looking for a site that gives you showers, electricity, swimming pools, kids entertainment, bar, restaurant and a nightclub then look elsewhere!
Kilvrecht Caravan & Campsite only offers peace and quiet in a basic site within a woodland setting - without electricity. The way camping/caravaning used to be!
Forest walks and wildlife are the only "entertainment" on offer with fishing and watersports available on nearby Loch Rannoch.
Children, pets and rallies all welcome. Turn up, choose a pitch and the warden will come to you!
The village of Kinloch Rannoch can provide you with most things including milk, papers, and food, as well as a post office and a couple of bars.
There is no longer a garage in Kinloch Rannoch so the nearest filling stations are in Pitlochry, Aberfeldy and Blair Atholl, all being at least 20 miles away. Make sure you are not left short of fuel. The Queen's View, Faskally Wood (home of The Enchanted Forest in autumn), Tay Forest Park, Blair Castle, House of Bruar and Rannoch Station are all well within an hour's drive so when you need a break from the solitude and silence of the Black Wood of Rannoch, there are a host of interesting sites within striking distance.
£10.00 per pitch, per night for visitors with a vehicle.
£5.00 per pitch, per night for visitors with no vehicle.
DIRECTIONS
Turn off the main A9 Inverness to Stirling road at Pitlochry and follow the signs for Tummel Bridge (B8109) and Kinloch Rannoch (B846). Once in Kinloch Rannoch cross over the bridge and follow the road along the south shore of Loch Rannoch for approximately 3 miles until you see the signs for Kilvrecht. The campsite is approximately ½ a mile along a forest road.
