Barlochan Holiday Park enjoys a beautiful hillside setting overlooking the tidal estuary of the Urr Water to Kippford and the Solway Coast.  The friendly park offers an ideal location for an interest filled holiday break in this scenic south west corner of Scotland.

The tranquillity of Barlochan makes it the ideal environment for a peaceful, relaxing caravan or camping holiday. Linked with the park is Big Barwhanny Loch just a short walk away where the keen fisherman can try his patience and skill in catching a fish.

The local village pub and café in the small village of Palnackie is only a short walk away. The local towns of Castle Douglas, Dalbeattie and Dumfries are close by.  Dalbeattie Forest with its miles of fantastic walking trails, wildlife and 7stanes mountain bike trails is also nearby.

Barlochan Holiday Park has holiday home accommodation to let offering weekly and short break bookings.  The park also welcomes tourers, motorhomes, tents and for the campers who want extra comfort there are heated glamping pods.

TOURING AND CAMPING

At Barlochan Holiday Park there are  a selection of pitches to cater for all needs and requirements.

For campers there are some grass pitches and some with electric hook up.  These pitches are close to the toilet block which has a laundry facility and is in walking distance of the children’s outdoor play area.

For the tourers, motorhomes and campervan owners there are gravel and grass pitches with electric hook up. There are now  six fully serviced pitches with electric, water and waste water drain situated around the large oak tree on the park.

These pitches are not too far away from the toilet block and a short walk to the small on-site shop, heated outdoor pool and TV/games room.

GLAMPING PODS

If you would like to camp at Barlochan Holiday Park without the hassle of bringing your own tent then the glamping pods would be the ideal solution.

The glamping pods sleep up to 4 people and provide comfort and freedom.  Each pod has heating, lighting, fridge, microwave, kettle and foam mattresses to sleep on.  Outside there is timber decking with outdoor furniture and alongside parking space for your vehicle.

All you need to bring is your camping essentials, food, bedlinen, towels and tea towels. Minimum stay is two nights. No pets and smoking are allowed.

The shop, toilet block with its private bathroom and laundry facility is a short walk away. Wi-Fi is also available on the park.
