Lowther Holiday Park is the ideal base for your touring caravan, motor home or tent it is also a great place for your caravan or timber lodge holiday. The park is a 5 star rated campsite from the British Graded Holiday Parks, AA rated 5 pennants and holds the David Bellamy Gold Award. Lowther is also a member of the BH&HPA and The Penrith & District Red Squirrel Group.

The park is set in 50 acres of natural woodland along the banks of the River Lowther and there are a variety of activities to enjoy in the area. Guests can explore the charming Lakeland towns and villages, learn the history of the area with its castles and historical houses and visit a variety of attractions. There are many events that take place all year round that will provide some fun for your family.

It doesn't matter what the weather brings, there are activities to satisfy everyone.

CAMPING AND TOURING

Lowther Holiday Park is a great place for your touring caravan, motor home or tent holiday and there is not an enforced set time for you to leave on day of departure.

A caravan or tent is for up to four people and one car.

The park cannot accommodate the super tents that are currently being sold on the market. Lowther Holiday Park's maximum tent size is 6 berth or a standard size.

CAMPING PODS

We have available to hire 1 Family POD, which sleeps 2 adults and 3 children, and 1 Standard POD which sleeps 2 adults and 1 child.

The POD is a timber built hut ready for you to use without the hassle of setting up a tent, provides protection from wind and rain and is connected to electricity. Amenities are easily within walking distance.

This is camping in the 21st century for you, your family and your friends.

HOLIDAY HOMES FOR HIRE

Lowther Holiday Park has two and three bedroomed Holiday Homes for hire.The combination of stylish design and contemporary interior makes them the perfect home from home. With an open plan living area featuring elegant soft furnishings and ample seating, you can relax with family or entertain guests.

The kitchen features expansive work surfaces and integrated appliances and is both an attractive and practical work space.

Lowther Holiday Park have a selection of new holiday homes on display and can supply any make and model. There are sometimes pre-owned holiday homes available. Also available a large range of new and used Timber Lodges.

OUT AND ABOUT:

Lowther Holiday Park is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley with Ullswater (arguably the most attractive of the English Lakes) to the West. The Northern Pennines area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the road from Penrith to Alston (one of the world's most beautiful road journeys according to top travel writers) to the East.

The Scottish Border Country and Hadrian"s Wall are to the North. Shap Fells and the Lune Gorge are to the South.

The historic market town of Penrith with its range of speciality shops and famous market is just two miles away.

Other towns within Eden are Appleby-in-Westmorland, Kirkby Stephen and Alston. The scenic Settle-Carlisle Railway has a station at Langwathby about four miles from the Holiday Park.
