Bridgehouse Marina and Caravan Park
Bridgehouse Marina and Caravan Park is a family owned and run site that has been trading since 1974. They lie between the market town of Garstang and the village of Nateby adjacent to the peaceful Lancaster canal. It is easily accessible from junction 32 or 33 of the M6 motorway.
The caravan park is divided into touring and static areas. The touring area has 50 hard standing pitches available that feature electric hook-ups. They have a children's play area. They feature a modern toilet block that is heated and contains showers, toilets, washing and shaving points, laundry and covered sinks to wash your dirty pots and pans. There is also a toilet waste disposal point.
The site's marina is based on the historic Lancaster Canal. You can take your family out for a day on one of their self-drive day launches. They can seat up to 6 people and they offer either open or closed roof cruising. There are many towns and villages along the way. The Lancaster Canal is a wildlife reservoir, so you can see a wide variety of flora, fauna and many species of birds. It offers a scenic journey of discovery for your whole family.
The park is in a great location for visiting the area. It is 40 minutes to the Lake District, 50 minutes to the North Yorkshire Moors, 25 minutes to the top UK resort of Blackpool, 1 hour to Manchester's Trafford Park Shopping Centre, 1 hour and 10 minutes to Liverpool's water area's cultural attractions and just 20 minutes down the road is the historic City of Lancaster and Preston. There you can see the newly opened National Football Museum at Preston North End football stadium.
