Timber Hill Park
Near the popular resort of Broad Haven on West Wales' Atlantic Coast, Timber Hill is set in the beautiful surroundings of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Set within 130 acres of the park, it has been designed by the owners as a place to enjoy one of the most beautiful counties in Wales.
A stay at Timber Hill is ideal for exploring the whole of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The park's famous Long Distance Footpath is within a 10 minutes' walk from Timber Hill. On this path you can skirt the entire 168 miles of the Pembrokeshire coastline from Poppit in the north all the way to Amroth in the south. Roughly midway between the two in St. Brides Bay is Broad Haven.
LODGES
Timber Hill's detached cedar wood lodges are fittingly placed on the southern facing slopes. They adjoin the farmhouse and cottage and have views over the peaceful hills and the valley.
Each lodge has 3 bedrooms that can sleep up to 6 people, a bathroom, airing cupboard, kitchen, sitting room and veranda. The lodges are fully equipped with quality furnishings, fitting and fixtures. They include digital TV with built in DVD. The kitchen includes a microwave as well as a conventional oven for convenience.
TIMBER HILL COTTAGE
You can also choose to stay in Timber Hill Cottage which is set in its own quiet and private gardens. It has been totally renovated and refurbished to a high standard without losing its character or charm.
Outside there is a sunny patio with seating a small, quiet summer house. The cottage's garden has direct access to the woodland walk that leads to both the coastal path and the beach. There is plenty of parking. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, one a double and one a twin.
Timber Hill Cottage's ground floor has a tiled and fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, a separate freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. The bathroom features a bath tub with a shower head. The living room is comfortable, has plenty of natural light and a stone fireplace with a wood burning stove. The entire cottage has central heat and the kitchen and bathroom have heat under the floors.
OUT AND ABOUT
Whether you wish to explore the area by car, on foot, or using the local coastal Puffin shuttle bus which passes close to Timber Hill, there is so much to see and do in the local area. To the north and within easy reach are Druidstone and Nolton, the vast expanse of beach at Newgale, the quaint harbour village of Solva and the famous city of St Davids.
Heading a short distance south is charming Little Haven, Martin's Haven with it's ferry crossing to wonderful Skomer island famous for its puffins, the dramatic cliffs and beach at Marloes, and onto Dale, situated in the lee of the mouth of the River Cleddau and popular with dingy sailing. Popular Tenby and Saundersfoot to the south of the estuary are about a 45 minute drive away.
