Bridge House Campsite

The campsite is open from 30th March to 28th October 2018

Bridge House Campsite is located in Lechlade, close to the Thames Path National Trail. As such, it's a great base for exploring both the Thames and the nearby Cotswolds.

The campsite itself is partly tree screened level grassland with good access to the main road and a stone's throw from the Thames pathway. It features excellent facililties including a laundry, toilets and showers and dish-washing and some of the pitches have electric hook-up.

The parks is also within easy reach of the everyday essentials such as food and gas, and is also near to a leisure centre, fishing lakes and a golf course.

Please note only green chemical waste fluid can be used on site.

OUT AND ABOUT

Being on the edge of the Cotswold and only a stones throw from rural Wiltshire you will never be stuck for things to see and do while staying at Bridge House.

Within an hour's drive are Cirencester, Oxford, Bath and Salisbury and the beautiful Cotswolds and rural Wiltshire are both right on the doorstep.

For the sports orientated there is the Cotswold Water Park with it's many lakes for water ski-ing, jet ski-ing, wind surfing and wake boarding. There is also a man made beach for those not wanting to get their feet wet!

Only 300 yards from the campsite is the River Thames. Boats are available to hire and the river is popular for barge cruises, canoeing and fishing.

The area is ideal for cyclists and walkers as there is the Thames Path and the ancient Ridgeway path is only a few miles away where it passes over the famous White Horse at Uffington.

If you prefer a more leisurely stroll why not take in one of the many chocolate box villages within close proximity such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford.

Bridge House is approximately 5 miles from Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens where you can see a vast collection of wildlife, reptiles and beautiful gardens.
