Riddings Wood Caravan & Camping Park

Enjoy a relaxing holiday at Riddings Wood in 11 acres of tranquil woodland.

The park has 26 touring pitches – 16 hard standing and 10 fully serviced pitches. All pitches offer a grass area for awnings and 16 Amp electric hook-up points.

For Electric Hook Up, the pitch meter will be pre-loaded with £4 per night for the duration of stay, this can be topped up, if necessary, during office/reception opening hours, 9am – 5pm only.

The camping fields are situated close to the amenities and accommodate up to 45 tents in total, each with 10 Amp electric hook-up points for all sizes of tents from small two-man tents to large family tents.

Each camping pitch can accommodate up to 6 people, if your party or tent size is larger than 6 you may be required to book an additional pitch. Please contact our team for further details.

20 of our tent pitches are in the bottom field, closest to the children’s play area. These pitches can accommodate both electric and non-electric users. The further 25 tent pitches are in the top field and are electric only.

Free Wi-Fi is available in most areas of the park, a children’s play area in the lower camping field and a tourist information point is at reception for local advice and guidance.

There is a modern toilet and shower block with disabled and baby changing facilities with washing and laundry facilities provided. Extra charges apply for the washing machine / tumble dryer. Showers are charged at £1 for 10 minutes.

The park can also cater for caravan rallies from March until Easter and late September to 31st December.

There are also six luxury lodges on site, which can accommodate up to four people. They include a double bed, large sofa bed, full double glazing and radiators for heating. You'll also find a microwave, oven, kettle, fridge and freezer inside. All lodge guests are able to luxuriate in the hot tub for one hour per day. Free WI-FI available in all lodges.

New for 2019:

Riddings Wood is proud to announce in 2019 the development of 6 new luxury, 6 berth holiday lodges, for short breaks and holidays, each with its own Jacuzzi, fully fitted kitchen and large washroom with separate shower cubicle.

Riddings Wood is open from 1st March to 31st December, however, the lodges are available all year round.

Children will enjoy playing in our playground with climbing frames and swings offering a secure and safe area for children to be outside in the fresh air of the countryside.

Enjoy family picnics in a safe and secure environment at our Picnic Areas which are positioned around the park exclusively for all caravan and camping visitors.

All lodge guests will get 1 hour use of the hot tub per day. You will have the hot tub to yourselves and no other guest will be in at the same time. Please let us know on the day of your arrival what time you would like the hot tub from.

Please note all lodge guests will be asked to sign an agreement of Terms and Conditions of use for the Hot-tub and lodge. This agreement requires the guest to provide credit/debit card details.

If the terms and conditions have not been adhered to and damage, loss or extra cleaning has occurred Riddings Wood will charge a minimum of £100 fee to the guests involved. If the cost of repair and / or replacement exceeds £100 the guest will be notified and charged as appropriate.

In all cases your Credit Card details are only held for the period of your stay and are a safely destroyed following your visit.

DIRECTIONS

Directions from the M1 (North/South)

From the M1 (North/South) exit at Junction 27 and take the A608 Heanor. Turn right onto the B600 for Alfreton/Selston and follow the B600 before turning left onto the B6016 Jacksdale. Follow the B6016 and Riddings Wood is on the right hand side.

Directions from the A38 (Burton, Derby, Mansfield)

From the South (Derby) follow the A38 and take the A610 exit for Ripley, continue on the A610 before turning left onto Brittain Drive just past the car superstore. Turn right into High Holborn Road and follow the road and at the end of the road turn left into Alfreton Road/Codnor Lane/Newlands Road. Take a right onto South Street (B6016) towards Selston. Follow the B6016 (Bullock Lane) to the right and Riddings Wood is on the left.
