Nunnington Farm Camping Site

Nunnington Farm Camping Site is lovely situated within a stroll or cycle ride of the village of West Wittering and the sandy Blue Flag beach.

The camp site is family run and is set in five acres of flat well maintained land. Tents, touring caravans and motor homes are welcome and each pitch is marked out and electricity points are available on many of the plots.

There is a modern central toilet block with flush toilets, hot showers and a baby's bath. Also a washing up area and washing machines and dryers. There are also facilities for the disabled.

On Nunnington Farm Camping Site there is a pet park with farm animals such as pygmy goats, Dexter cattle, Wensleydale sheep, chickens as well as a horse, donkey and miniature Shetland ponies. All guests are welcome to have a look round.

West Wittering has acording to Met Office statistics, more sun and less rain than the average of the South coast of England, partly due to the shelter provided by the Isle of Wight and the South Downs behind it.

It is a place rich in local history, the Romans having landed here before encamping and developing Chichester. "Roman Landing", is the name of one of the pretty lanes leading from the centre of the village to the waterside, commemorating this event.

There is a Blue Ribbon award winning sandy beach at West Wittering Surfing, wind surfing, sailing, fishing, horse riding, nature trails and wild life visitor centres are nearby.

East Head is a National Trust 2 mile circumference sandy headland, or island separated by a narrow causeway at the end of West Wittering beach. It is wonderful for walks along the sea one side, the sheltered lagoon the other, or in the middle, lost in the peace and tranquillity of grassy sand dunes with the only sounds audible, bird song and the waves.
