Laneside Caravan Park
Laneside Caravan Park is a riverside park bordering Hope village in the beautiful Hope Valley which is in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
The park welcomes Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents and is open from mid March to early November.
Ideal for walking as the park is surrounded on all sides by hill and riverside footpaths. Edale and the start of the Pennine way is 4 miles up the valley, the soaring edges of Curbar and Froggat 4 miles down.
Castleton with its mediaeval castle and caverns is 2 miles down the valley road - or a pleasant half-hour riverside stroll straight from the site. Chatsworth House is a 15 minute drive, Bakewell and Buxton 20/25 minutes, and around us are the prettiest villages of the peak - Historic Eyam, Tideswell with its lovely 'Cathedral of the Peak' church, and Hathersage with its historic connections to Little John and Charlotte Bronte. Hathersage also has a swimming pool and tennis courts open to the public and is just 5 minutes drive.
TOURING
At Laneside Caravan Park there are 80 electric pitches available with good access by made-up road, 60 on grass pitches; 20 on hard standing. The pitches are well marked out and every pitch backs up to a post & rail fence and / or a hedgerow - mostly beech and hawthorn.
CAMPING
The main camping field by the river has 50 tent pitches mostly at the village end of the site. Stone steps lead straight onto Hope Bridge - the village boundary. The most popular sites are on the riverside field where there is a walkway down to the river with stepping stones leading across to the sports field. It's safe for all but crawling infants and children love playing there. We can offer electricity to tents though not on the riverside field.
SEASONAL TOURING CARAVAN PITCHES
Laneside Caravan Park has seasonal caravans on permanent pitches in addition to the touring pitches. These can be booked for a full season. They are very popular and get booked up at the beginning of the season mostly by people returning from the previous year. If you might be interested, come along - if we haven't one at the time, we can normally offer a pitch for the next season.
