Shared kitchen facilities with microwave and fridge/freezer and a toilet and shower block are available on site for guests.
The site prides itself on its clean, centrally heated toilet block that provides excellent free showers. The reception features a comprehensive tourist information display area.
The park is situated on the edge of the mighty Kielder Forest featuring an abundance of wildlife, many walks and nature trails and direct access to the famous Pennine Way.
Border Forest Holiday Park is ideally situated for exploring the breath taking scenery of Northumberland and the border country. This country has been steeped in a sometimes turbulent and violent history. In 1388 at the Battle of Otterburn an English army under the lead of Sir Henry Percy fought an army of Scottish knights under the Earl of Douglas.
Just a short drive away from the site visitors can see the famous Hadrians Wall that was built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in 122 A.D. The opposite direction from the site there is the Heritage Coast and its beautiful beaches. You can also just choose to relax on the holiday park and enjoy the peaceful views without having to go anywhere.
